Congratulations to Lui and M@rlon Rose from the Philippines, and Brian Li all the way from Mauritius for winning the Grand Prize, the Inspirational Moment Award and the Barrel of Laughs Award in the 2nd Wacom Holiday Season Contest. The superb entries for this contest spanned a huge range of styles and choosing just a few to win was incredibly difficult. We'd like to thank all those who participated in the contest for your hard work and beautiful art!

Nominees were first selected by a committee based on artistic merit, impact and relevance to the various categories, then voted on by not one but twenty judges throughout the Asia Pacific region to avoid bias toward any one country or artistic style.

Lui's Grand Prize-winning "Young girl selling ‘Parols'" surprised our judges with its original approach imitating stained glass art so often found in churches and cathedrals. For those of you not from the Philippines, parols are traditional Christmas lanterns in the shape of a star hung during the holiday season in Lui's home country.
