12 May, 2008 - Sydney - Wacom Australia Pty Ltd is proud to announce a new partnership with Ritescript, a division of U.S.-based EverNote® Corporation, and will be demonstrating the company's ritePen handwriting recognition software at CeBIT Australia.

RitePen allows users to write freely and continuously anywhere on screen and have their handwriting converted into typed text and placed into any Microsoft Windows application, a feature similar to Windows Vista's tablet PC input panel.

However, RitePen provides handwriting recognition for not only Vista but also Windows XP and Windows 2000, offering unique intelligent desktop navigation that automatically distinguishes between writing and desktop interaction. It also offers intuitive editing gestures, an easy and powerful correction interface, and user-defined vocabularies.

"RitePen is the ideal partner to Wacom's full range of graphic tablets and Interactive Pen Displays, and Wacom Australia is very excited to be demonstrating the latest features at CeBIT Australia," said David Spencer, General Manager of Wacom Australia. "The ability to translate natural handwriting into text is in high demand across many industries and is ideal for use within business, education and medical applications."

Leonid Kitainik, General Manager of Ritescript, adds, "We are very excited to partner with Wacom Australia. Wacom products are known all over the world for their high quality standards and broad market appeal. We are looking forward to helping Australian customers increase their everyday productivity with ritePen's handwriting recognition and other features."

Over half a million of professionals and consumers use Ritescript software daily.
